It’s nice to meet you! My name is Reign.
As a gender queer and neurodivergent person who is incredibly introverted and understands social anxiety firsthand, I know how overwhelming traditional salons can feel.
Loud rooms, crowded chairs, constant conversation, and the pressure to perform socially can make something that should feel fun feel exhausting. That experience is a big part of why I created the studio I have today.
My space is intentionally designed to feel calm, quiet, comfortable and low pressure. It is the opposite of the typical busy salon environment.
Appointments are always one on one, with no double booking and no distractions. Just you, me, and the time we need to focus on your hair. You do not need to perform or be “on” here. You can simply show up as yourself.
I built my studio to be the kind of Salon experience that I wish had existed when I was younger and exploring my own identity. A place where you can relax, feel understood, and leave feeling more like yourself.
I have also built my booking process to be simple and predictable. My pricing is flat rate, transparent, and gender neutral so you always know exactly what to expect.
Hair has always been a powerful form of self expression, and helping people step into that expression is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
I specialize in alternative cutting and coloring transformations. Mullets, shags, texture, big hair chops, vivid color, and creative color placements that feel unique and unconventional. If you are looking for something bold, expressive, a little weird or beautifully outside the box, you are in the right place. Every appointment is collaborative. We will talk through ideas together so you always feel comfortable with what we are creating.
I have been licensed and doing hair for 14 years. From 2016 to 2020 I owned a salon and spent several years educating for brands including Pulp Riot, Keracolor, Joico, Colortrak, and Brazilian Bond Builder.
In 2020 I stepped away from education and salon ownership to focus on something that felt more aligned with the way I wanted to work. A smaller, more intentional studio where I could slow down, connect with people, and create a different kind of salon experience for the clients I love working with.
A few quick things about me!
I am a huge nerd. I love talking about books, films, fandoms, sci fi, fantasy, gaming, and pop culture. I am also a plant and reptile hobbyist. When I am not doing hair I run a small reptile rescue and spend a lot of time caring for animals.
My dogs Zoey and Rip come to work with me most days and will probably greet you when you arrive. Zoey loves lap cuddles at the shampoo bowl, and Rip is a Velcro dog who lives for head rubs!
